The mission for the Van Nuys Neighborhood Council (VNNC) is to serve and protect the public’s interest in serving the Van Nuys community by encouraging public participation and debate into the quorum.
The Lake Balboa Neighborhood Council advocates for the Lake Balboa community with the City of Los Angeles on important issues like development, homelessness, and emergency preparedness.
The North Hills East Neighborhood Council is a organization whose mission is to promote and honor the diversity of North Hills East and act as a liaison between North Hills East and the City of Los Angeles.

Several years ago, the southernmost portion of Van Nuys was re-designated as Sherman Oaks, generally encompassing the area south of Burbank Boulevard toward the US-101 Freeway.
The boundary is now undergoing further adjustment. Rather than retaining the expanded Sherman Oaks designation, the Community Plan has elected to formally distinguish the two areas.
Moving forward, all territory north of the US-101 Freeway will be identified as North Sherman Oaks, while areas south of the freeway will remain Sherman Oaks. In addition, North Sherman Oaks will extend north to Oxnard Street.

Council District 4 (Nithya Raman). This listing will remain temporarily
